Another Po\wolna Sobota (Slow Saturday) in the Potocki Palace is coming. On 10 December, we will encourage you to slow down, have a look at yourself, the local creative potential (and not only that!) and the slow rest philosophy. Let’s get to know each other at three interviews facilitated by our curator Aga Kozak: one of them will be about menopause (or ‘Flow’?), another one about toys and yet another one about jewellery. In addition, as always, there will be workshops and hormone yoga and hypnotherapy! Kraków5020 is the organiser of the event and KBF is the event’s partner.

The day will start at 9.00am with Po\wolna Pobudka – a slow wake-up session with Marta Murzańska-Potasińska (Yoga-ta by Agata Rozkocha school of yoga). Marta will lead a hormone yoga practice, focusing on selected sequences to help regulate the endocrine system, which in turn can alleviate unpleasant menstrual symptoms.

Specially selected asanas will help balance pre-menstrual and menopausal emotional tension, and minimise its other unpleasant symptoms. We often try to help ourselves with drastic dieting or physical activity maladapted to the current needs of the body. Such conditions are caused by large fluctuations in hormones, the balance of which we will work on. All those who want to find balance, harmony, peace and acceptance and build their own emotional life raft are therefore welcome to attend. The classes will be based on the teachings of Gita Iyengar, the undisputable authority in the field of yoga practice for women, and Lois Steinberg who has developed a broad compendium of knowledge on the subject.

At 11.00am, we will have our morning coffee with Alicja Długołęcka, Iwona Demko and Tamara Pieńko. Alicja Długołęcka is the author of the book entitled Przepływ (ZNAK Publishing House), an educator and sex educator who will demystify ‘menopause’. Why this period in a woman’s life should be called the climacterium, what happens to us then and how to draw power from it – will be told by one of the best known educators in Poland. The conversation with Aga Kozak will also include the author of photographs in Przepływ, Tamara Pieńko, and one of her characters, artist Iwona Demko.
After that, there will be time for some fun! Literally! At 2.00pm, we will have a slow afternoon with Gosia Borowy (wooden story), Katarzyna Piszczkiewicz (Ethnographic Museum) and Marek Sosenko (Museum of Toys). We will talk about toys. What can we do to make them entertaining? And to make them crafted of natural materials? Can children still be entertained by toys made of wood and paper? What are such toys teaching them? Do Małopolska and Kraków have toy traditions? What are they? What does Zofia Stryjeńska have to do with them? And are our toys really conquering New York? The story will be told by the producer of the most beautiful toy blocks that are conquering New York, the founder of the Museum of Toys and the curator of the collection of the most Cracovian toys from the Museum of Toys.

During our Po\wolna Sobota (Slow Saturday), we will also look for an answer to the following question: why things that glitter feel so attractive? At 5.00 pm, we will have a slow conversation about jewellery with jewellery designers and jewellers from Krakow. We will also discuss the difference between ‘fake’ and ‘real’ jewellery (and if such a distinction still exists) and, of course, about how to choose perfect jewellery for a specific person! Guests of the meeting will be: Patrycja Cyganek (Syncret), Ola from Todoro, Pola Zag (Pola Zag), Ania from TOSKA Studio and Ella Żubrowska (Ella Zubrowska Jewellery).

Finally, there will be the po\relaks with hypnotherapist Karolina Szyszka at 7.00 pm. The workshop will include information on what hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis are and how to use them. We will experience the hypnotic trance and try to create our own ‘inner garden’ in our minds.

The curator of Po\wolna Sobota (Slow Saturday) is Aga Kozak, a teacher of good life, mentor, journalist and personal development coach. We provide mats and exercise equipment for the Po\wolna Pobudka (Slow Waking Up) wake-up session. A comfortable outfit is recommended in which you can participate in any part of the program. Places are limited for individual parts of the programme. It is better not to procrastinate when it comes to collecting tickets.

Free tickets will be available separately for each part as of 12.00 pm on 5 December at kbf: tickets. Due to the limited number of places [especially at the Po\wolna pobudka (Slow Waking Up) and po\relaks (After Relaxation)], one person can only collect one ticket. In case you cannot be with us, please LET US KNOW – the waiting list is usually long and your ticket will immediately go into someone else’s lucky hands!
