Kraków is opening its doors to tourists. How is the industry preparing, what challenges does it face? This question will be answered by the guests of the webinar titled “Kraków is ready. The MICE industry opens the 2022 tourist season”, prepared by KBF and Kraków5020. The event will take place next Monday – 11.04 at 2:30 PM at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre.

The hotel industry is sounding the alarm – for the sake of their safety, more and more tourists are cancelling trips to Kraków. The business industry may be next – event organisers may also have concerns. That is why the MICE industry associated in the KRAKÓW NETWORK project is already univocally announcing that it is ready for the new tourist season. Today – on World Meetings Industry Day – a webinar is announced with the following participants: Małgorzata Przygórska-Skowron (Kraków Convention Bureau), Ewa Woch (Targi w Krakowie sp. z o.o., expo Kraków operator), Dr Bartłomiej Walas (Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation at WSTiE), Grzegorz Soszyński (Małopolska Tourist Organisation), Paweł Galiak (John Paul II Kraków Airport), Paweł Mroziak (Sheraton Grand Hotel Kraków) and Paula Fanderowska (Kraków5020). The meeting will be hosted by Magdalena Kondas (MeetingPlanner.pl).

“We want to discuss the difficulties the industry is facing today. How is Kraków being received by our foreign partners? We know that there are still concerns about the large number of Ukrainians in Kraków, which is why we must once again clearly state that these are no longer refugees, but new residents of the city,” says Izabela Błaszczyk, President of Kraków5020, which is organising the meeting. The city is safe. The first tourists are slowly appearing. “It is worth emphasising that all tourist attractions are operating according to plan and are available to everyone. Festivals and other event organisers are preparing for the summer season. Kraków is ready,” assures Paula Fanderowska, Vice-President of Kraków5020, leader of KRAKÓW NETWORK.
