On 12 November we invite you to the Potocki Palace for the second season of this extremely popular series. We will meet at the very centre of Krakow to spend Saturday together, to be, to breathe, get to know one another and be inspired to new activities and learn more in the beautiful interiors of the palace that combines 500 years of history with modernity. Each meeting of the Po\wolna Sobota cycle focuses on good life, mindfulness, local creative potential, the philosophy or rest in the spirit of contemporary slowness.
Po\wolna Sobota programme:
• • 9:00 Po\wolna Pobudka – a slow wake-up session with Monika Michno (Yoga-ta by Agata Rozkocha school of yoga):
What is the ‘fire of yoga’?
The fervour of yoga practice allows weaknesses in the body to burn through and changes perspective.
Tapas or ‘fervent practice’ is not only an attempt to look at what we get attached to and to what we react with aversion. It is also a movement meditation, a meeting of body and mind. It sometimes involves a sense of agitation and sometimes of letting go. At the Saturday meeting, we will try to rekindle the fire with a yoga practice according to the method of B.K.S. Iyengar. It is going to be hot.
• 11:00 Morning coffee with Daria Latała (JeDynie), Marta Tarka (Przetwórnia) and Adam Kalinowski (Zakwasownia)
Preserves! Those with passion for pickling, health and taste will tell us whether we can and how to put the summer, memories and good emotions into jars.
• 14:00 Po\wolne popołudnie – a slow afternoon with Jakub Pietrynka (JMP Artisan Perfumes)
We will look for an answer to the following questions: what are the base, heart and head notes? How our noses work? Why do we like the fragrances we like? What is a fragrance maker’s workshop like? A conversation about how fragrances lead us by the nose.
• 17:00 A slow conversation with Agnieszka Sendor (Pstrąg Ojcowski), Jacek Szklarek (Winniczek) and Mateusz Suliga (Hotel H15 Luxury Palace)
11 November is not only about the Independence Day and… the day of the rogal świętomarciński (St. Martin’s crescent roll), it is also the day of goose meat. We will talk about the Polish tradition of breeding and cooking geese with one of the authors of the action Jacek Szklarek, with Małopolska cuisine expert Agnieszka Sendor and Mateusz Suliga, the chef in H15 Luxury Palace who prepares goose meat for St. Martin’s day.
• 19:00 Po\relaks – a relaxing workshop with Barbara Wierzbanowska (Pracownia Zabłocie)
Workshop: Make yourself a lamp!
Creative workshop with the Wyobraź sobie! school. We will freely bend, cut, glue, mash paper and other plastics. After that, we will assemble everything to obtain a fully functional object: a lamp or a lantern of your own design. Feel the creative fever!
The curator of Po\wolna Sobota is Aga Kozak, a teacher of good life, mentor, journalist and personal development coach. We provide mats and exercise equipment for the Po\wolna Pobudka wake-up session. A comfortable outfit is recommended in which you can participate in any part of the programme. Places are limited for individual parts of the programme.
Free tickets will be available separately for each part as of 12:00 on 7 November at kbf:bilety. Due to the limited number of places [especially at the Po\wolna pobudka and po\relaks], one person can only collect one ticket. Krakow5020 is the organiser of Po\Wolna Sobota and KBF is its partner.
