Nówka Sztuka again in Krakow!

The weekend of 12-13 November 2022 will see the fifth edition of the artists and designers fair, an event addressed to creators, art and design connoisseurs, lovers of original works and talent seekers. All those interested in establishing the cooperation with young artists and graphic designers are invited, including publishers, architects, representatives of the business and creative industries. The fair will be an opportunity to meet authors and talk to them, and to buy original works selected by experts with no commission, directly from the authors.

This year’s 5th edition of the fair will take place from 11:00 to 18:00 during the weekend of 12-13 November as an in-person event (in the Ogiński and Potulicki Palace in Krakow, 4, Józefa Piłsudskiego Street) and an online one at www.nowkasztuka.com accessible until 30.11.2022. In order To meet modern consumer technologies and trends, it will be possible to buy digital NFT tokens of selected works of art exhibited at the Nówka Sztuka fair.

There will also be a contest with the prize worth 10 thousand PLN funded by the State of Poland Foundation. The contest will select the most interesting personality in the visual arts. The reward will constitute a grant for the development of the winner’s artistic career.

The Nówka Sztuka fair combines exhibitions with an educational program: lectures, discussion panels, portfolio reviews and consultations with renowned representatives of creative circles to support young artists at the beginning of their careers.

Paintings, graphics, posters, illustrations, photography, books, sculptures, design and even the art of tattooing. Nówka Sztuka offers an opportunity to see things that are new, interesting and original in the Polish arts and to create or expand one’s home collection or to purchase a unique Christmas gift.

Additionally, we announce a young Nówka Sztuka contest for students of artistic schools. The objective of the contest is to select students or student groups and offer the promotional participation in the Nówka Sztuka 5.0 Fair for artists and designers.

The event was born out of a grassroots initiative of the creative sector and creative academia in all parts of Poland. From the very beginning, Nówka Sztuka has been a part of the A thing for Art. Design in Krakow city festival organised by the UMK Department of Culture under the patronage of the President of the City of Krakow. It is not a coincidence that it takes place once a year in Krakow, the city whose uniqueness is, undoubtedly, related to its artistic atmosphere and creative energy; the city has been home to artists for many generations, it is the seat of many influential institutions and the venue for important cultural events that attract people from Poland and other countries.
